2019 Doha - go deep/go down list & daily recaps [+0,2 ]

Looks like I am pretty much late again and I publish my GDGD list just before the tournament kicks off. Well... usually there is a lot of stuff going on during the weekend, and still, I feel a little bit awkward to predict a couple of matches ahead. It's just new to me and I definitely prefer to focus on analyzing and predicting one match at a time. But I will get used to ... Anyway, below are my predictions for Doha 2019:


GO DEEP list: Goerges, Pliskova, Kerber
GO DOWN list: Hercog, Ostapenko, CSN

Recap after R16: First of all I like the dynamic of this tournament, it's much shorter than AO I covered last time :) Two rounds and already QF is at sight. All the girls from "go down" list are already packing to leave Doha, but playing against Ostapenko turned out to be a bad investment. She is in poor form, but Buzarnesku even in worse and handi +4,5 with Svitolina was too big as Svito don't like to play with bum-bum players, and it ended up -4, of course :( When comes down to "go deep" list - Pliskova withdrew with viral illness, Goerges and Kerber won their matches and are 3-0 ATS :)
Recap after SF(final): Well, Kerber turned out to be too unstable, more than I thought before the tournament. She produced 0-2 ATS in QF and SF, she lost 1-6 first set with Strycova and it was her first lost set against Strycova on hard courts in 6 encounters. In SF I predicted that she probably won't make it but stayed consistent with GDGD list. This case showed that GDGD list method has some significant flaws since among my paid tips there was an opposite tip (Mertens+3) as you can see on my blogabet account. It may look strange and stupid but while generating regular paid tips I carry out full analysis, takes into account more factors and also the fact how the situation on the tournament is evolving, while when making GDGD prediction before the tournament I don't have the knowledge how the player is doing on further stages... Finally Doha ends 6-5 ATS and +0,2 units of profit... could have been better.
